Founder

Born in Switzerland and raised in Mexico and Latin America, she is the creative force behind Chocolkan. A graduate of the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne with over 12 years of international corporate experience, she has now ventured into building her own concept — one that blends high-quality, heart-warming products with a focus on well-being.

As the creator of Chocolkan’s unique recipe and ritual, she envisioned more than just a delicious hot chocolate — she wanted to offer an experience that not only delights the senses but also nourishes the body. Drawing on her diverse cultural background, she crafted a product that honors tradition, supports cognitive health, and promotes sustainable farming practices.

Her vision is to share the richness of cacao while creating a positive impact — both for those who enjoy Chocolkan and for the environment.

JEAN-PHILIPPE
Founder

Born in Switzerland and raised in Alsace, he grew up immersed in the world of chocolate, cultivating a deep appreciation for its craft and origin. A graduate of the Ecole Hôtelière de Glion, he built his career through nearly a decade of experience in the family business, where he honed his skills in responsible sourcing and quality control.

As a 4th generation member of a chocolate family business, he has been part of a legacy that has verticalized its entire production and sourcing chain. This unique model — owning the cocoa and hazelnut plantations from which Chocolkan sources its ingredients — ensures complete traceability and quality control from bean to cup.

Today, alongside his wife, he brings his expertise and passion to Chocolkan, maintaining the same dedication to excellence and sustainability. His commitment to crafting an authentic and mindful product reflects both his heritage and his forward-thinking approach to chocolate.

Chef chocolatier - pâtissier

We are honored to have been able to work with chocolatier-pâtissier Richard Maier to perfect our recipes and finally bring our concept to life.
